Take 52
North out of Decorah until just before Preston, you will see Hwy
16 going East. Go thru Lanesboro and continue on Hwy 16 for 4
more miles until you come to County Road 36 @ Whalan. Take a
left over the bridge and follow the Mini Golf street signs (2
lefts) two blocks from the bridge. Driving time 30 minutes.
From
Minneapolis/St. Paul / Rochester,
MN:
Take Hwy 52
South out of the South Eastern Part of St. Paul towards
Rochester, go thru Rochester, Thru Preston to Hwy 16 going
East. Go thru Lanesboro and continue on Hwy 16 for 4 more miles
until you come to County Road 36 @ Whalan. Take a left over the
bridge and follow the Mini Golf street signs (2 lefts) two
blocks from the bridge. Driving time from beginning in St Paul
is approx 2.5 hours.
From La
Crosse, WI:
Take Hwy 16
west until you come to County Road 36 @ Whalan. Take right over
the bridge and follow the Mini Golf street signs (2 lefts) 2
blocks from the bridge. Driving time is 55 minutes.
From
Winona, MN:
Take Hwy 43
South to Hwy 90, go East one exit to 43 South again (to
Rushford). Go South or left into Rushford. Take Hwy 16 West or
Right until you come to Whalan, County Road 36. Take a right
over the bridge and follow the Mini Golf Street Signs (2 lefts),
2 blocks from the bridge. Driving time is: 35 minutes.
Hwy 16 is a National Scenic Byway. Enjoy the beautiful
Bluffs to the North along the winding Root River. Please drive
w/ caution.
